Carlos Esquit

Electrical Engineer / Pianist
Guatemala City, Guatemala

Summary

Curiosity, passion and excellence are my drivers in everything I do with the ultimate purpose of making a difference in the world. After pioneering the field of Biomedical Engineering in Guatemala, after having been part of the first satellite to be launched to outer space in the history of Guatemala, after leading the project for the first integrated circuit designed in the history of my country - to be manufactured by TSMC in 2025, after taking the leadership of a department with the smallest student population at the top Science and Engineering University in Guatemala and making it by far the largest in the whole University 12 years later (representing almost 20% contribution margin to the whole institution), and after having had some experience in industrial automation, I feel the need to look for another adventure filled with responsibility and amazing new challenges; a new "state" in my "Finite State Machine Journey" if you will; a new high-level position that takes advantage of my experience, my vision and my passion to allow me to setup a new horizon for my desire of positively impacting the world.
