Rachael Delaney

• Lead team of 10+ science educators spanning from grade 6 to grade 12.
• Set departmental goals, objectives, assessments, and policies accordingly in cooperation with members of department.
• Serve as role model to encourage faculty self-evaluation, professional growth, scholarship, and effective training.
• Review and assess department’s course of study; making recommendations for standards distribution and prioritization, new courses, electives, promotion/graduation requirements unique to school.
• Guide teachers in department to develop annual budget for their courses.
• Develop and facilitate professional development to improve student learning and standards alignment.
• Advocat for change in course offerings and implement rollout of new course offerings and sequences.
• Co-direct and organized virtual international school science fair with 5 participating schools and over 50 participants.

• Create and implement NGSS-aligned Storyline Curricula for grade 10 biology.
• Co-plan with partner or team to reach diverse groups of students through inquiry and data-driven instruction.
• Use of 3-dimensional teaching to provide students with transferable skills.
• Co-plan and co-teach AP Research by facilitating year-long student research in accordance with Course Description and Evaluation provided by the College Board.
• Integration of educational and organizational technology to support learning and executive function.
• Develop and implement "mini-mester" course: "Whatever Floats Your Boat; The Cardboard Boat Challenge"

Developed and implemented NGSS-aligned Life Science curriculum to grade 7 students.

Adapted instruction and assessment to accommodate students' diverse needs.

Facilitated Girls in STEM club.

Co-directed and organized school science fair with over 200 student participants.
