• Implement a balanced literacy program through the Readers and Writers Workshop model; integrate various reading strategies (shared reading; read alouds) to promote the development of reading comprehension skills and various writing strategies such as interactive writing and mentor texts to develop the craft of writing.

• Administered benchmark assessments (DRA and DIBELS) to assess students’ reading and math levels, differentiated instruction and determined intervention services.
