Over 25 years of experience leading teams and projects, half of those in the extractive industries sector. Currently General Manager for Grupo Corporativo La Trinidad, a real estate conglomerate of 18 companies and 10 business units, that develops and operates malls and housing projects. I've worked as an independent consultant in the energy sector, President of AGEPH (Guatemalan Association of Hydrocarbons Producers) and Director of Consulting Logistic, S.A. Previously Administrative and Financial Manager at Empresa Petrolera del Itsmo, S.A. for 8 years. Before that, adviser at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, for the energy, hydrocarbons and mining areas, in everything related to the definition of the goals of the 2008-2022 energy policy, monitoring instruments and compliance indicators. It included the supervision of critical projects such as activities for the fulfillment of the presidential goals, support the resolution of social conflicts, and design the communication strategy for the results achieved both within the Government and the population, among others. From 1994 to 2007 at companies such MBA Einkauf, Swipco S.A. and Transparency International Guatemalan Chapter, developing efficiency and transparency policies and procedures for institutions in the governments of Honduras and Guatemala.
Responsible for the operation in Guatemala, including the supervision of Operations Manager, and answering to the Board of Directors.
Consultant for several companies and recently focused on energy, oil & gas companies in processes efficiency, compliance, training and project management. Some of the projects developed as independent consultant:
Executed all the tasks assigned by the Technical Manager of the projects related with efficiency and transparency in purchasing and contracting processes for institutions such as Ministry of Defense in Colombia and the Ministry of Health in Guatemala. Helped developing of software for the projects such as Tracking Documents system and semi-online quotation. Due to my performance I moved to Guatemala and was promoted to Technical Manager.
